Student Internship
E-C Translation & Localization is now offering an exciting translation and localization study opportunity through an innovative internship program for the current students and graduates. This program is aimed at opening the door to a highly-rewarding, longer-term opportunity for the qualified candidates. Students can learn how a translation and localization company works and will gain first-hand knowledge about project management, processes, tools and the importance of customer service.
Overview:
Familiarize the intern with the workflow of a translation & localization company.
Familiarize the intern with translation tools and relative skills.
Offer the interns the possibility to gain a professional experience in the localization area through working in E-C.
Expected skills:
Solid writing and analytical skills, particularly in intern’s mother language.
Comprehension of one or more of the European or Asian languages.
Strong sense of responsibility.
Willingness to learn new things.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as a team member.
Ability to attend the internship in Beijing, China.
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must:
Have recently completed their undergraduate or postgraduate studies in translation, languages or a related field or be in the 3rd or final year of their studies;
Have an excellent knowledge of English;
Have a perfect command of French, Italian, German, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, or Traditional Chinese, as applicable, which must be the intern’s mother language;
Have good computing skills (familiarity with CAT tools will be desirable);
Have an interest in localization industry and project management.
Terms and Conditions of the Internship:
A written agreement will be established between E-C and the intern, specifying the terms and conditions of the internship program.
This is a remunerated internship. E-C will offer the standard living expense within the internship duration in China.
Travel expenses, including visa fees, to and from China are the responsibility of the intern.
Interns shall be responsible for their own health insurance for illness and accidents.
At the end of the internship, the intern’s supervisor will evaluate the intern's performance and the intern will also be required to evaluate the internship.
Duration:
The duration of the internship will be of a minimum of five months, starting date depends.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
Translate from English into French, Italian, German, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, or Traditional Chinese, as applicable, E-C, which will constitute the main internship program.
Translate other documents, as requested.
Assist the project manager in carrying out various activities of the translation department.
